9. Joe Rogan And Gerard Way Are Cousins

In an extremely strange moment, Smith says that he was talking to My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way - now soon to go back on stage for a reunion show in LA in December - and he revealed a family link between himself and Rogan. Smith turned host for the moment:

“I gotta ask a question on behalf of somebody else. Your grandmother named Josie - Gerard Way, lead singer of My Chemical Romance…”

To which Rogan interrupted: “Yeah, we’re related”.

“That’s what he said. I’m [talking] to Gerard, and he goes, ‘I don’t have 100% confirmation on this, but I’m pretty sure Joe Rogan is my cousin because my Aunt Josie was his grandmother.’”

Rogan says they are related but they don't know one another, which prompts Smith to suggest Way as a future podcast guest. Let's hope that one comes off. Smith also reflects on the unlikely revelation:
