2. James Bond Sobbing, Tears Streaming Down his Face

Skyfall pretty much sums it up. Once, James Bond had parents. They both died in a tragic accident (
or not so accidental, see Jeffery Deaver's Carte Blanche) leaving a young Bond with a shattered world. He hides in the priest hole of his old house for a few days and when he comes out, "he was no longer a boy," said Kincade the groundskeeper at the Bond mansion. The death of Judy Dench's M is the closet the audience will come to ever seeing James Bond truly cry. Sure, Daniel Craig's outings as the character are filled with those single dramatic tear moments, but before him? Nothing at all as if the stony MI6 agent had his tear ducts removed in his twenties to give him an edge. He's now cold as ice. On the set of Her Majesty's Secret Service, the crew came to the infamous scene at the end. If you haven't seen it yet and you call yourself a Bond fan, face palm yourself, then go watch it. Let's just say here that it's the saddest moment in Bond's life. So sad that one hit wonder George Lazenby actually broke down in tears and sobbed on the first take. The director called cut, came up to Lazenby and said, "George. Bond doesn't cry. Okay everyone, from the top!" James Bond, full on crying with tear stained cheeks? No sir, he does not.
