10 Things You Definitely Googled After Watching These Horror Films

7. The Conjuring - What Does The Anabelle Doll Really Look Like?

James Wan's The Conjuring is one of the outright best horrors in recent memory. Tense, taught, terrifying, and littered with so many phenomenal performances, Wan's 2013 offering is a total triumph of a film.

Front and centre of the marketing for The Conjuring, though, was the sinister presence of Annabelle. Seen on a rocking chair, this creepy-as-all-hell doll was enough to send a shiver down the spine before even watching The Conjuring.

And when you did get down to watching the movie, it became apparent that Annabelle wasn't actually all that major a presence in the picture. Instead, the doll had a minor role here that served as a launching point for her own trilogy of horror offerings.

Like so much of The Conjuring - be that Ed and Lorraine Warren or the plentiful demons at play in that original film and the franchise it has since spawned - audiences were told that the possessed Annabelle doll did indeed exist in the real world.

For the more curious of horror fans, that led to them heading online to see whether the Annabelle doll in The Conjuring was quite as creepy as its real-life counterpart.

Truth be told, the real Annabelle doll is far cuter than its cinematic namesake - although you could argue that the added cuteness also makes the real Annabelle a far creepier proposition.
