10 Things You Definitely Googled After Watching These Horror Films

2. Scream 4 - Did Kirby Die?

Whereas some of the movies featured here had people heading to Google to research real-life counterparts to what they'd just seen depicted in a more fictional setting, Scream 4 had people heading to their favourite search engine for a very different reason.

As Woodsboro yet again finds itself in the midst of another mass murder spree, plentiful disposable teens are offed as Sidney Prescott is in the sights of Ghostface once more. But while the fate of so many of Scream 4's characters is easy to see - as in dead or alive - many viewers were confused as to what exactly happened to Kirby Reed.

Played by Hayden Panettiere, Kirby and her horror nerd ways made for some of the most enjoyable elements of the so-so fourth Scream outing. By the time the dust settles in Scream 4 though, it's not abundantly clear if Kirby was actually killed off or not.

Stabbed twice by Rory Culkin's Charlie in the film's final act, Kirby was last seen with blood gushing from her stomach and with the Grim Reaper seemingly knocking on her door. Did she really die, though?

To be honest, an online search provides no definitive answer on this. Some like to think that the sound of a door opening later on as Sidney searches the house was actually Kirby alive and making it to safety. Others speculate that the character died in the hospital from her wounds.

Either way, the fate of Kirby is something that so many Scream 4 viewers have taken to Google to dive deeper on.
