In an interview with Esquire Magazine, he said he "wasn't the most popular kid in school" and even got into a fight with someone 5 years his senior which resulted in him being punched in the face. If only he had his magic wand with him, but at least it would have helped him get into character as Harry, whose signature broken glasses look was achieved in the books thanks to frequent punches to the nose by Dudley.
