Yep. Can you think of anything that signals you've arrived better than, say, teaming up with Tom Hanks for a major movie role? No, you cannot. So Alicia Vikander is set to appear in an upcoming adaptation of Dave Eggers' popular novel The Circle, and will join Tom Hanks, who has also reportedly signed on to star. According to ComingSoon.net, the original novel "focuses on a young woman who is hired for a big job in an Internet monopoly called the Circle, which links users personal emails, social media, banking, and purchasing with their universal operating system, resulting in one online identity and a new age of civility and transparency. The book turns into contemporary thriller about the perils of life in a digital age." Which sounds good. The adaptation is to be directed by James Ponsoldt of The Spectacular Now fame and is set for release at some point in 2016. Naturally, the idea of Vikander and Hanks on-screen together is an innately brilliant one - fingers crossed this turns out to be a real doozy.
