7. She Makes Her Parents Read Any Scripts She's Considering
Everybody likes the approval of mum and dad when it comes to life in general, but Alicia Vikander takes that notion to a new level entirely. That's to say, Vikander claims to give her parents copies of any scripts she reads and likes in order to weigh their opinions on whether or not she should do the film. In the case of The Danish Girl, her upcoming film featuring Eddie Redmayne and directed by Tom Hooper, her father was instrumental in her signing on for the part. "My dad read The Danish Girl and fell in love with it," she explained in an interview with The Telegraph. "He told me: 'You need to do this film.'" Sneaky suspicion that she won't regret taking his advice on that one, given the prestige that is mounting around the production. Thanks a bunch, Mr. Vikander.
