10 Things You Didn't Know About Emma Stone

2. She Gave Her Cancer-Surviving Mother A Special Gift

Krista Stone, Emma's mother, had been diagnosed with breast cancer, though she fought off the disease in 2008, leading to the actress handing over a celebration gift, and a permanent reminder. Emma wrote to Sir Paul McCartney in 2010, with a request to doodle two birds' feet in homage to her mother's favourite Beatles song, Blackbird. McCartney responded with the drawings, before Stone and her mother had matching tattoos of the markings onto their wrists. Stone frequently attends women's cancer charity events in a bid to support sufferers and help uncover a cure.
