1. David Fincher Got The Opening Credits He Wanted Because He Was "Good"
David Fincher is renowned for making movies with unforgettable opening credit sequences - just think back to the likes of Se7en, or Panic Room, or The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and you'll see that the director prides himself on immersing viewers with an opening sequence to end all opening sequences. And Fight Club is no exception to the rule. According to Fincher, though, he budgeted the iconic credit sequence inherent to the movie separate to that of the film - if you've seen the sequence, you'll know why. Known for being a tad difficult from time to time, though, 20th Century Fox told the director that he could have the opening credit sequence he wanted - and the money to shoot it - if he was "good" for the entirety of both shooting and production. By the looks of the finished movie, Fincher was a very good boy indeed.
