The prequel trilogy explained the backstories of several of the main cast of the original films - Obi-Wan, Palpatine and, of course, Vader - but, at one stage, they would have explained the origins of one more: Han Solo. Chewbacca himself appears in Revenge Of The Sith when Yoda travels to the Wookie homeworld, Kashyyyk. At the scripting stage, however, the scene also featured a cameo from a 10-year old Han Solo, which would have revealed that Han was raised by Chewbacca. Concept art for the young Solo was even mocked up. Having little Han swing by might have been a nice surprise, but Chewbacca being Han's surrogate father would be strange, contradicting their brotherly relationship they share when they are older. We should probably be thankful that Lucas reined himself in for once and cut the scene.
