2. Sarah Jessica Parker Has A Witch Relative
Sarah Jessica Parker was related to a "witch" from the late 17th century and she wouldn't even know it until ten years after Hocus Pocus made it to theatres.
In 2003, the Sex and the City star appeared on Who Do You Think You Are, a programme which looks at the history and genealogy of familiar faces. Parker was stunned to find out her 10th great-grandmother, named Esther Ellwell, was arrested in Salem, Massachusetts in the later 1600s for committing "sundry acts of witchcraft" and choking a neighbour to death.
To Parker's relief, Esther escaped with her life. Her case was never brought to court after the witchcraft trial courts disbanded just weeks before her hearing.
After discovering her roots, Sarah claimed: "It has changed everything about who I thought I was."
