2. She Has Been Both A Fictional & Real Life Caterer
Party Down was a wonderful comedy television series that ran for just over a year in 2009 and 2010. It followed the adventures of the titular catering team, of which Caplan was an integral part (and she really rocked a bow tie in the role as well). Her character worked as a caterer whilst hoping to become a successful actress and comedienne - and the role was somewhat reminiscent of her real life exploits. You see, Caplan briefly worked as a caterer herself and, while she claims to have never done anything as vulgar as spitting in a customer's food (how very noble), she does admit to spending an awful lot of time eating it all round the back out of sight - with her favourite culinary tipple being devilled eggs, which she would often scoff en masse.
