10 Things You Didn't Know About RoboCop

1. Richard Nixon?

Depending on how you look at it, in a strange or very clever way of generating publicity, former President and Futurama star, Richard Nixon was hired to promote the film when it was released on home video. He was paid $25,000 to shake hands with a man wearing an ill fitting RoboCop suit, a fee he later donated to ''The Boy's Club of America.'' You have to wonder who came up with the plan to have the star of a super-violent R rated movie meet the disgraced former president at an event for a children's charity.
