10 Things You Learn Re-Watching Alien

5. There's A Lot Of Unintentional Comedy

As superb as the film is, there are more than a number of chuckle-worthy moments that reveal themselves upon multiple viewings when the honeymoon period of "How awesome is this!?" has worn off a little.

For starters, there's the hilarity of the newly-hatched Xenomorph running across the table, which looks pretty goofy, as well as the Xeno reaching its arms out to Dallas seconds before it kills him.

Then there's Ash (Ian Holm) freaking out when he's outed as an android, spitting white "blood" everywhere while spinning around and squealing, and of course, the ridiculously obvious fake head prop which appears briefly before he gets toasted into oblivion.

Alien may be a masterpiece, but it's not free from a few silly affectations either.
