10. Holland Screen Tested With Robert Downey Jr. And Chris Evans

After considering over 1500 actors for the role, Marvel chose just six youngsters to fly out to the set of Captain America: Civil War to undergo screen tests to play the new Spider-Man. There, they performed alongside star Robert Downey Jr., an actor who it is believed Peter Parker will share the majority of his screentime with in the movie next year. Struggling to make a decision Marvel (and Sony) wanted to see what kind of chemistry they had with Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark/Iron Man, and, from there, the shortlist got even shorter. Of the two who remained, only Holland was asked to test with Chris Evans' Captain America, so it's clear that he was the favourite at this point in the lengthy casting process. The fact that Holland screen tested with these two specifically offers up an idea of which members of The Avengers he'll be interacting with when they go to war next year...
