10 Things You Need To Know About Marvel's New Spider-Man

7. ...But May Get His Iron Spider Suit By The End Of Civil War

After The Amazing Spider-Man 2 soured the majority of moviegoers on the wall-crawler, Marvel desperately needs to do something to differentiate this Spidey from past versions. A new costume would help, especially if it's as unique as the comic book character's Civil War duds. Well, according to the leaked "Sony Hack" emails last year, that's exactly the plan. Like in the comics, Tony Stark will present Peter Parker with the costume, and using that in the solo movie will open the door to Spider-Man using powers and gadgets which haven't factored into previous movies. Whether it's the extra arms (a very cool visual), the technology beneath the mask, or the suit's gliding ability, there are lots of options. Depending on how involved Spider-Man ends up getting in the superhero Civil War, it could be that Iron Man gives Peter the costume when he sides with him or after the battle is over to protect the youngster during his future crime fighting endeavours. Either way, it's going to be a lot of fun seeing this costume used on the big screen for the first time.
