10 Things You Need To Know About Marvel's Phase 3 Slate

9. Avengers: Infinity War Is Going To Play Out Differently Than You Might Expect

Don't let the "Part 1" and "Part 2" subtitles fool you. While these two Avengers: Infinity War movies are sure to be connected, it doesn't sound as if they're going to be as closely tied as most of us have so far assumed. In fact, Kevin Feige has revealed that, " intention of that is to do two distinct, standalone movies as we do all the time. But because they are such shared elements, it felt appropriate to do . I wouldn't call it one story that's cut in half. I would say it's gonna be two distinct movies." That's an interesting approach, and despite the fact that both parts of Avengers: Infinity War will be shot back to back with the same writers and directors, it doesn't sound as if Part 1 is going to end with a massive cliffhanger which leads directly into Part 2. Still, they have to be connected in a major way. It's going to be interesting to see if there's any sort of time jump between the two or if they're going to focus on entirely different groups of characters. Whatever the answer, Infinity War clearly isn't going to be what the majority of us expected, and that actually makes it more exciting in some ways. It is however known that pretty much all of the Marvel Cinematic Heroes are expected to appear, and that includes everyone from the Netflix heroes to the Guardians Of The Galaxy, Spider-Man, and all of the new Avengers who are set to be introduced over the next few years.
