10 Thoughts Every Guy Had While Watching Fifty Shades Freed

2. "This Movie Would Be Better As A Full-On Thriller"

Tonally, Fifty Shades Freed is a complete mess, jumping from thriller to rom-com and back again literally dozens of times throughout, each shift in genre feeling just as jarring as the last.

But to be fair to the thriller sections, they're a lot more fun (in a campy sort of way) then the romance parts.

Christian is boring and Ana is irritating, and together, they're painful to watch. But when Ana is attempting to evade her bodyguard and bag $5 million cash in under two hours, the movie becomes mindlessly entertaining, and a decent enough distraction while shoving popcorn in your speech-hole.

Oh, and Eric Johnson - the guy who plays Jack Hyde - manages to display more charisma and personality in five minutes than Dornan has showed us in the whole trilogy.

He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
