10 Times Actors Were PISSED OFF At Film Premieres

As annoyed as these actors may have been, justifiably or not, at least each of them was actually invited to the premiere of the freaking movie they appeared in, right?

Bafflingly, that wasn't the case with Boris Karloff, who of course played the definitive screen iteration of Frankenstein's monster in James Whale's classic 1931 Frankenstein.

In an interview with Karloff's daughter Sara, she stated that her father wasn't invited to the movie's premiere, and so he ultimately had to pay his own money to see the film at a public screening.

Sara said of Universal's dismissive attitude to her dad's iconic work on the movie, "He was a piece of meat to the studios at that time, as were most actors."

Universal reportedly deemed Karloff an "anonymous" actor and therefore didn't even consider him for the premiere, seemingly unaware of quite how strong a chord his mesmerising performance would strike with audiences worldwide.
