10 Times They Were Worried What Movies Would Do To You

2. Lightyear Would Send Children On A "Pathway To Ruin"

While this year's Lightyear may not have reached the ridiculously high standards set by the Toy Story movies, it was still a fun, engaging picture that serves as a great little popcorn flick for all ages.

Still, once it was revealed that this Angus MacLane-helmed picture was to feature *shock* a same-sex couple, that prompted certain people, institutions and countries to lose their minds at how Lightyear would corrupt the youth of today.

To highlight one such example of outrage at Uzo Aduba's Alisha Hawthorne and her female partner, The Christian Post had plenty to say about the knock-on impact this moment and relationship would have on future generations.

In lengthy post about why Lightyear is the embodiment of all things evil, the opening paragraph reads:

"Parents and pastors, beware! The eagerly anticipated Disney 'Toy Story' spinoff debuting in theaters this June centers on kid-favorite Buzz Lightyear and his new space partner, Alicia [Alisha], a lovable lesbian who 'marries' her queer partner and greets her with a kiss on the lips as they start their family."

Yes, folks, those are genuine words from a genuine person representing a genuine organisation.

The rant goes on to lambast Disney for wanting to introduce more "characters reflecting homosexual, transgender, and 'minority' identities" in future projects, with it supposedly a bad thing that all sexualities and gender identities are represented in entertainment and pop culture.

What follows that, are 11 paragraphs - again, this is 100% legit - under the title "What Would Jesus Do?", with a recent drop in Disney's stock market value even put down to a "judgment of God" for what the House of Mouse has been "promoting in terms of perversion".
