If there is anyone more determined, more resilient and more dedicated to their cause than Jardani "John Wick" Jovanovich AKA Baba Yaga, you're not going to see them in this lifetime.

What puts the titular hero of the John Wick franchise at number one on this list isn't just his unquestionable badass nature, but the glorious and death-defying way in which John Wick goes about. It all started so small for the character, as audience members have watched a man managing a terrible grief become awoken from his dark chambers like a slumbering bear, and take to all manner of organised crime outfits like a juggernaut.

As the films rolled out onto screens, fans of the John Wick franchise have come to understand just what kind of brutal force of nature Baba Yaga is. Adept in firearms, martial arts and the ability to use everyday objects like pencils, books and even a horse as a weapon, there is an unstoppable violent nature to John Wick that makes him both exciting and terrifying to watch on screen.

Throughout the John Wick franchise, a cavalcade of assassins and mercenaries have tried their luck with the infamous assassin, and all have failed considerably. There's an overwhelming sense of respect amongst the community of assassins, and audiences can understand why when John Wick politely offers to spare his folly before engaging in combat.

Let it be said, if there is one movie character you want watching your back at all times, it's the man who could assemble a live firearm out of deactivated war relics - and still walk away victorious.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
