10 Trailers That Should Make You Nervous About 2017's Biggest Movies

The teaser trailer for Episode VIII was super light in the way of plot, but there was one small moment where everything we knew about Star Wars - or more specifically, Luke Skywalker - shifted entirely. Standing in the shadows of his home on the remote planet of Ach-To, the disturbed Jedi delivered a line of unexpectedly mind-blowing dialogue: "I know only one truth. It's time for the Jedi to end."

Put simply, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is going to change everything that we know about the franchise. Whatever happens in this movie is going to have an effect on the way that we view the Jedi, the Sith, and the Force. It's going to redefine Star Wars to the same extent to George Lucas did when he introduced the midi-chlorians, forcing us to accept it in the process. And that's a really frightening thought.

You get the sense that there was so much pressure on director Rian Johnson to deliver an explosive twist, that he felt like he had no choice but to give us one.

Going by the teaser footage, The Last Jedi will tweak the established mythology to such an extent that nothing will ever be the same. Whilst there's a chance this could be brilliant, Luke's words still inspire genuine feelings of anxiety for the future.
