Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 is best known for that "Garbage Day!" meme that does the rounds on social media every now and then.

As for the rest of this 1987 movie? Well, it's either a) utterly forgettable, or b) a rehash of what was seen in the original Silent Night, Deadly Night. And no, the term rehash here doesn't just mean similar plot points at play. Instead, Part 2 outright fills a good chunk of its first 40 minutes with footage from its predecessor.

That first film has Billy Chapman embark on a festive murder spree after witnessing his parents being killed by a Santa Claus years prior. In this sequel, it's Billy's younger brother Ricky who is on his own Christmas killing quest as part of his PTSD from what happened to Billy.

With this PTSD being explored, that gives Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 the excuse to lazily revisit the events of the first picture. In fact, at one point the plan for Part 2 was to reshuffle the footage from the original film in order to create something 'new'. That should tell you all you need to know about this turd-tastic offering.

One genuine highlight of SNDN P2, mind, is the demise of loan shark Rocco. After Ricky confronts Rocco in an alley, he stabs him through the chest with an umbrella and opens said parasol up. In a river of utter sh*t, this is an inspired moment of absolute genius.
