10 'True Stories' You Should Take With A Pinch Of Salt
1. The Amityville Horror (1979)
The Amityville Horror is infamous nowadays. People have been trying to prove or disprove the events the Lutz family wrote about ever since their book was published in 1977. The film of course stated that the story was true and there has since been almost a dozen Amityville films released. Neither of the two stars (James Brolin and Margot Kidder) believed the story but they both aren't exactly proud of this film. Apparently the studio deliberately made up stories about spooky events happening on set in order to gain publicity for the film. This means that if you've heard a rumour about all the cast being sick one day or something, chances are some studio executive made it up before going out for lunch. No paranormal activity has ever been reported by anyone who has ever lived in that house since the Lutzes who claim to have experienced levitation, a ghost demon pig, bite marks, their child singing in only one room, spooky child imaginary friends, and of course flies.... in winter! So it's highly unlikely that any of the ghostly events of Amityville ever took place... plus why on Earth would you stay in a house like that for so long if all that stuff was really going on? It's madness! Maybe the ghosts really didn't like the Lutzes... since the publication of their book, not many living people do. Did we miss any true stories that are works of fiction?
