10 Truly Evil Horror Movie Villains Who Never Actually Killed Anyone

The primary antagonist of the highly controversial video nasty horror with the deceptively bland title A Serbian Film, Vukmir is an independent pornography director who exists on the bleeding edge of developments in his industry, seeking to push boundaries, challenge taste and make the next big thing.

Unfortunately, that thing involves breaking just about every law in the book. Infantophilia, necrophilia, paedophilia, hebephilia; you name it, Vukmir has filmed it. Portrayed in sleazy, snarling clarity by Sergej Trifunović, the director prefers to arrange the violence rather than get involved with it himself. A morally repugnant character of the lowest order, he is a self-styled trend-setter and tastemaker, whose parallels with today's influencers seem particularly prescient, given A Serbian Film was released back in 2010.

While the movie may present a broader commentary on the state of consumer society and its media in the digital age, it is understandably too much for most to stomach, and remains unrated -- and thus officially unreleased -- by pretty much every film classification body the world over. Having killed no-one but traumatised everyone, Vukmir dies at the end of the film. Now, if we can only have a movie where we get to watch his associates suffer slow and painful deaths, we might yet go home happy.
