10 Truly Evil Horror Movie Villains Who Never Actually Killed Anyone

Better known by his alias Jigsaw, John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is the antagonist of the Saw series, his exploits spanning eight films (nine if you count Spiral) and an untold body count, even though he died in the third installment.

While his base motives may be just -- often seeking to offer his captives a shot at redemption -- his methods are anything but. Setting up elaborate traps and puzzles, Kramer's intention is for his victims to maim and mutilate themselves in order to pay penance for their crimes, sins or, in some cases, really just accidents.

And yet, Jigsaw never actually kills any of his victims. He leaves them to their own devices, with his own devices, and lets what happens happen. Some escape with minor injuries, some make it minus a limb or two, and many die -- whether from an inability to listen, an unwillingness to cooperate, or a prevailing selfishness.

With Saw X on the way next year, however, Kramer's track record of aggressive pacivity could all be subject to change...
