7. Indiana Jones Series Dr. Henry Walton Indiana Jones
As a legend of the silver screen and one of cinema's greatest heroes, it's hard to criticize Dr. Jones on any level. Despite this, there is no denying that Dr. Jones is a poor educator. In both
Raiders Of The Lost Ark and
The Last Crusade we see Indy during his day job as a University archaeology professor. His deep knowledge of ancient civilisations and cultures would be very beneficial for his students, provided that he was actually present to impart that knowledge. The fact that his globe-trotting adventures cause him to be on a semi-permanent sabbatical means that his students' education is inconsistent at best. For example, take a scene early on in
The Last Crusade. After delivering a lecture, Dr, Jones tells his students that he will be in his office for consultation. His office is swarmed with students while his TA informs Dr. Jones that he still hasn't graded the mid-term exams. Flustered, he escapes through his office window. I know he's out saving the world and all but a teacher has responsibilities.
