High school senior Ferris Beuller decides to skip school and spend the day in downtown Chicago with his best friend and girlfriend. Ferris is smart, charming and incredibly popular. He is the ultimate role model for the other students at his school; effortlessly cool and charismatic. Ferris uses his influence to get away with things that no normal teenager could get away with. He doesn't do these things maliciously, Ferris is simply living by his mantra, Life moves pretty fast, If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. The principal of Ferris' high school, Mr. Rooney, sees past all of Ferris' smooth-talking and sets out to nail him for his truant behaviour. Principal Rooney's quest for academic justice is thwarted at every turn, often with embarassing results. Instead of earning the respect of his students, Principal Rooney attempts to wrestle it away from the most popular student in school.
