So it turns out Tommy Wiseau didn’t just hate the guy who played Mark, but just about everyone else involved in the making of The Room.

According to the man himself, Tommy replaced every single person involved in the making of The Room four times over across the course of the film’s production.

His claims are backed up by Dan Janjigian, who plays drug dealer, Chris-R, in the movie, who gave an interview to Entertainment Weekly in which he claimed that he would often arrive on the set of the film and be greeted by an entire new cast.

“It was just mayhem,” Dan said in 2008. ”You could come in and it would be a completely different cast and crew. It was crazy.”

Wiseau’s difficulty to work with is legendary and has been documented by many people involved in the making of The Room.

Juliette Danielle, who plays Lisa, was apparently horrified by how Wiseau conducted their numerous love scenes in the film, as were the rest of the crew.

Danielle also confirmed the rumours that several other actors were fired from their roles and had to be recast, including the actor playing her own character. Danielle was an understudy to the Lisa character who just got lucky. Or is that unlucky?

It sounds as if working on this film was a total nightmare for all involved and it's not hard to see why the film was such a disaster when you realise just how disorganised and chaotic the whole thing was. It might be funny to us as viewers, but if working with Tommy Wiseau was your job five days a week, then I think laughing would be the last thing you’d want to do.
