2. Lethal Weapon 4 (1998)
What's not to love about Jet Li injecting new life into the Lethal Weapon formula? Unfortunately, critics and viewers don't seem to remember this film as fondly as they should. Admittedly this film came at the wrong end of a great franchise but it still stands tall on its own merits.
Mel Gibson and Danny Glover team up once again to take down a huge criminal plan. This time the threat is from a Triad gang and the result is some compelling action and plenty of Jet Li. While the film does tread some old ground with Riggs still mourning his wife for a fourth consecutive film, there are plenty of fresh ideas that make it worth a watch.
This film is frequently overlooked, and it definitely shouldn't be. It has a great cast (including Chris Rock), blockbuster action and the classic elements of a buddy cop film. In short, it's a must-watch.
