4. Gerard Butler
His romantic comedies are awful and his action movies aren't much better, but Gerard Butler himself is not a terrible actor; like most other people on this, he is just awful at picking films. Apart from his role in Ralph Fiennes' Shakespeare adaptation Coriolanus, it seems like Gerard Butler is incapable of picking good roles, which is a shame because he is a halfway decent actor (although he can't really get rid of his accent). I think Butler is miscast as a lead actor and would do well to take supporting roles in higher quality films in order fully reach his potential, but at least there is some potential there.
