5. Colin Farrell

Not so much an object of criticism as much as just flat out ignored, it seems like the only time the spotlight shines on him happens during movies like Total Recall, Alexander or Daredevil, but these movies don't really do service to one of the better actors working today. Just a brief glance at his filmography shows an impressive resume; solid turns in Phone Booth, S.W.A.T. and Minority Report, a Golden Globe win for his role in In Bruges (one of the best films of 2008) as well as main roles in Terrence Malick's beautiful film The New World and Seven Psychopaths. Farrell can play a variety of roles convincingly, it's just that most of the mainstream Hollywood films he is in are awful.
