3. Felicity Jones - The Invisible Woman
The Film: Ralph Fiennes pulls double duty directing and starring in this film about Charles Dickens' secret, years-long love affair with a young actress named Nelly Ternan (Felicity Jones).
Why She Could Win: Without question, Felicity Jones is one of the brightest rising stars in Hollywood today, making a name for herself with Like Crazy and continuing to thrive in roles such as the recent follow-up Breathe In. She's also snagged a part in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 due out next year, so she's clearly going to become huge within the next 12 months, and don't put it past the Academy to get there first, handing her a golden gong for her work here. We won't know more about the size of the role - no doubt a supporting performance - until it premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, but fingers crossed it's substantial enough to earn her a nod.
Other Talent: Oscar nominees Ralph Fiennes & Kristin Scott Thomas.
