6. Bane - The Dark Knight Rises
Regardless of how you feel about The Dark Knight Rises' overall quality, it’s impossible to deny that its introduction to Bane is an unforgettable moment.
After being brought upon a CIA jet alongside two other terrorists with bags over their head, Bane introduces himself to Aidan Gillen with the iconic, instantly meme-able line “no one cared who I was until I put on the mask”. From there, Bane crashes the plane with his army and steals Dr. Pavel for – at the time – unknown reasons.
Not only is the size and scope of the scene incredible thanks to having no CGI but its shift in music from the slow build to the ominous chants makes it intense and exhilarating. In addition, although everyone loves to make fun of Bane’s voice, it quickly establishes him as Batman’s greatest threat by showing him as someone who possesses devastating strength and power, along with the intelligence of the Joker and the loyal army of Ra's Al Ghul.
His introduction is a grand spectacle that just makes it all the more disappointing that he was ultimately nothing more than Talia Al Ghul’s goon stuck in the friendzone.
