9. Captain America Is A Hilariously Good Advert For Drugs In Sport

You work hard and train hard, pushing yourself to the absolute limits of your ability. You sweat out all your excess weight, all your inefficiencies, knowing that if you try your best, you can be the best at what you do. But then, Captain America shows up, with his bottle-based superpowers, and hands you your inadequate ass on a silver platter. Much like the soldier, you're going to feel slightly aggrieved that this man has taken your place at the top of the tree after a half€”day procedure rather than the entire lifetime you've dedicated. But to the sportsman, this opens up a whole different kettle of fish €“ that this man, this paragon of virtue, is made into the supersoldier he is through drugs. Really, that's got to be a gigantic gut-blow to the ideology. The Usain Bolts of this world achieve such adulation because they're not tarnished by doping's spectre, yet suddenly, there's another chap on the scene who being praised from here to Valhalla thanks to his serum-fuelled deeds. Yeah, it's a different ballgame, but the fact of the matter is that there's a man out there who proves that not only is doping good, it's positively patriotic. I guess you wouldn't get these problems if you were an archer or a shooter. However, you do have a totally different different kettle of fish on your hands €“ namely, Black Widow and Hawkeye will never, ever give you a chance at that gold, if they wish to show up.
