Thus far, 2014 has proven itself to be something of a spectacular year for the motion picture business. We've been gifted with a ton of wonderful animated adventures, like The Lego Movie and How To Train Your Dragon 2; modern classics such as The Grand Budapest Hotel, which saw writer/director Wes Anderson working at the height of his powers, whilst Boyhood - arguably Richard Linklater's greatest achievement as a filmmaker - left movie-goers speechless. And who can forget all the phenomenal comic book flicks, like Guardians of the Galaxy? Although the end of 2014 draws near, then, there's still tons of awesomeness to come. Already this month we've been treated to the likes of David Fincher's phenomenal adaptation of Gone Girl, which saw Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike on top form, which has set October up as a filmic month to be reckoned with.
