10 Unused Star Wars Movie Sequel Concepts Which Need To Be Used In Future

9. An Epic Battle On Coruscant

Once upon a time, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was going to be directed by Jurassic World helmer Colin Trevorrow. Titled Duel of the Fates, it was set to be a very different experience, and the final battle was going to be vastly more satisfying than the CGI-heavy fight above Exegol J.J. Abrams delivered.

In this version of the film, Finn was set to find an army of former First Order Stormtroopers living in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant alongside some of the planet's people (who had fallen victim to the reign of the First Order after the villainous group made it their base).

Seeing Finn lead these people into battle for one final stand against the First Order would have been pretty epic, and a much better way to end his story.

At this point, the chances of revisiting any of these characters from the sequels seems unlikely as none of them been particularly complimentary about their respective experiences. However, a return to Coruscant to learn what became of the planet - and a battle like this - would be awesome.
