10 Upcoming Movie Sequels We STILL Can't Believe Are Real
9. Meet The Parents 4
Want to feel old? Ben Stiller is now two years older than Robert De Niro was when he starred with Stiller in hit comedy Meet the Parents 25 years ago. Sheesh.
And while the hit comedy spawned two commercially successful sequels, most seemingly agreed that the unlikely franchise had well and truly run its course with 2010's critically reviled Little Fockers.
But late last year, it emerged that a fourth film was in development with Stiller, De Niro, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo all set to return, and by this past March, writer John Hamburg - who penned the original trilogy - was confirmed to both write and direct the new movie.
Since then, we've learned that Owen Wilson has also inked a deal to return and Ariana Grande is set to play a role.
With a release date pencilled in for November 25, 2026, it's fair to assume that shooting will begin by year's end.
While there's something inherently fun about seeing Stiller's Greg Focker now thrust into the De Niro role so many years later, it remains to be seen whether or not this setup can actually support a fourth entry into a franchise which some believe only ever had the comedic juice for a single film.
