3. Lucy

Release Date: 25 July (USA) 22 August (UK) Thanks to Luc Besson's director credit, we're pretty hyped for Lucy, moreso than any others on this list. In the film, Scarlett Johansson's character gets caught up in some dodgy dealings, which somehow results in her transformation into a superhuman warrior. We really wish they'd gone for more of a Matrix "less is more" approach to the promo material though. In the trailer, we see exactly how she gets her powers, we see her breaking from her confines (including how she does it), and we see her taking revenge against her original captors. Fortunately, it hasn't wholly diminished our anticipation for Lucy, which looks like it could be one of the better action flicks this summer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVt32qoyhi0
