2. Chris Hemsworth - In The Heart Of The Sea
Chris Hemsworth belongs to a very unique set of Hollywood stars which includes Guy Pearce, Demi Moore and Brad Pitt - he started his acting career playing a role in a soap opera. His character of Thor is certainly a far cry from the teenager Kim Hyde in the Australian soap Home And Away. Thor might not be the most exciting character in the Marvel franchise, although there's no faulting Hemsworth's ability to bring him to the screen and inject a dose of humanity to this godly role. In his latest feature, In The Heart Of The Sea, he'll take on a character for whom mortality is a very pressing matter indeed, playing a whaler fighting for his life after his ship is sunk by an angry bull sperm whale. With Ron Howard steering the production from behind the camera expect In The Heart Of The Sea to deliver spectacle aplenty. An interesting aside: Tom Hiddleston was also considered for the role. Did Hemsworth and Hiddleston battle it our for the part in the style of Thor and Loki?
