10 Upcoming Movies That Have Already Ignored Massive Mistakes
3. Being Utterly Awful - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2
The Lesson: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Someone needs to stop Michael Bay. Seriously. The director who proved that he's actually capable of making films that aren't provocatively bad experiences with Pain & Gain has gone back to his producer's chair (which is no more than a glorified director's chair consider how much creative influence he clearly has) and is now destroying everyone's childhoods in a new way. Not content with the fact that the Transformers franchise seems to be critic proof, and makes money hand over fist no matter how many giant robotic scrotums are included, Bay is now set to release a second Turtles movie. Had the first one been any good, this might have been welcome news. Had the first one been just ok, but had a committed core of fans, this might also have been welcome news. But it was horrific, numb-headed and vulgar, and it fudged almost everything. Even though we will now get a chance to see Bebop and Rocksteady, and perhaps Casey Jones, the fact that we have to see everything else is just abusive.
