10 Upcoming Movies That Have Cast Completely The Wrong Person

10. Sophie Turner - X-Men: Apocalypse

Sophie Turner is best known for her role as Sansa Stark on HBO's hit fantasy series Game of Thrones, and now she's been cast as Young Jean Grey in the upcoming superhero flick X-Men: Apocalypse. Thing is, she doesn't have the feel of a Jean Grey-type at all; you don't believe that Sophie Turner will one day transform into Famke Janssen, do you? Does anyone smell a miscasting of Emilia Clarke/Sarah Connor-like proportions, perhaps? Worst of all, Sophie Turner isn't a particularly consistent actress; every time you see her on Game of Thrones, her acting ability seems to variate wildly. Now and again she surprises you with a commendable moment of credible acting ability, sure, but most of the time her attempts are plainly distracting or downright awkward to watch. Going by the Apocalypse trailer, she can't really do an American accent, either, which is something of a concern when you're supposed to be playing an American character. Who, then? Shailene Woodley missed out on the opportunity to play Mary Jane Watson in the new defunct Amazing Spider-Man franchise, but there's a sense that she would've also been ripe for the character of Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse. Aside from being beautiful and talented, she also seems like a better fit with the existing cast than Sophie Turner does.
