10 Upcoming Movies That Look Terrible

4. Red One

Another Amazon Prime outing that doesn't exactly spell guaranteed success at this current moment in time, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's latest bid to relentlessly kickstart another franchise hasn't exactly inspired waves of anticipation at present.

Perhaps a side effect of the former WWE star's recent under-performing work as Black Adam, Johnson's team-up with Captain America himself Chris Evans in the holiday adventure that is Red One feels like yet another rather uninspired, standard Rock picture.

You know the one. The hulking ball of charisma quips his way through the runtime, forms an unlikely bond with an initial enemy, before eventually saving the day by whooping some candy ass and teasing yet another paint-by-numbers entry for the future.

Now sure, adding J.K. Simmons to the mix as a shredded Santa acts as a welcome addition. But it is starting to feel as though Johnson's outings are beginning to disappointingly blur into the "you've seen one of them, you've seen them all" territory of late.

Perhaps Red One will deliver something truly unique and genuinely turn the holiday adventure tale on its head next year. But it feels more likely that it'll merely act as yet another forgettable chunk of empty blockbuster calories to add to Johnson's Naughty list.
