10 Upcoming Movies With Insane Casts You Haven't Heard Of

4. The Thursday Murder Club

Juror No 2 Kiefer Sutherland
Netflix

The latest comedy from Chris Columbus (Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone) is adapted from Richard Osman's acclaimed murder-mystery novel of the same name, and has quite the enticing hook.

The Thursday Murder Club sees a group of septuagenarians attempting to solve a murder, with said group of oldies including Helen Mirren (as a retired spy), Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, Celia Imrie, and Jonathan Pryce.

But the killer casting doesn't stop there - they're also joined by David Tennant, Naomie Ackie, Daniel Mays, Richard E. Grant, and Paul Freeman.

With the Knives Out franchise and the Kenneth Branagh Poirot movies basically reviving the cinematic whodunnit, we're likely going to see a ton of star-studded murder-mystery films over the coming years.

And between its superb cast and Osman's well-received source material, this one sounds like it could be a banger alright.

The Thursday Murder Club recently wrapped shooting and should be released in 2025.
