6. Assassin's Creed Paul Greengrass
Video Game: We already know that this movie is happening with Michael Fassbender attached to star. Assassin's Creed follows Desmond as he lives the memories of his assassin ancestors in various times throughout history, as they battle the power-seeking Templars. Dealing with subject matters of distorted history, religion, and mythology, it was a long time coming for this video game franchise to hit the big screen, with its iconic images of stealthy, high-diving assassins preserving the history we never knew about.
Director: Although it is in development with writers, some producers, and at least one star already signed, a director has yet to be chosen for the Assassin's Creed film. The man who brought the original Bourne films to life quite possibly would be a great choice. Familiar with the sophisticated plot of political-thrillers and visually realistic action, Paul Greengrass could ensure that cinema's teasing direction towards video games as source material starts off with a proper bang that leaves audiences and executives with faith in the genre.
