10 Villains That Should Be In Justice League (And Who Should Play Them)
7. Sinestro & The Sinestro Corps
We've already seen Sinestro come to life once thanks to Mark Strong's, ahem, strong performance in the 2011 cinematic abhorrence that was Green Lantern. Whilst it's unlikely Strong would be brought back, as Warner Bros. most likely wish to distance themselves far, far from that movie, it wouldn't be the crazy thing in the world. Picture the story: Sinestro, having already gained his yellow power ring, finds himself in a war with the Green Lantern Corps. The war comes to Earth thanks to his hatred of Hal Jordan, John Stewart and Guy Gardner, who are already established Lanterns when the movie opened, having secretly operated in space for some time. This creates a one-two punch of coming up with not only one villain credible enough to take on the League, but also his entire army to back him up, the Sinestro Corps - whilst also reintroducing the Green Lanterns into the new DCCU. Plus, who doesn't want to see a Sinestro ring offer itself to Batman, like in the comics? Who Should Play Him? Mark Strong, if he wants to come back. Bryan Cranston if not - disappointment abounded when it turns out the rumours of him playing Luthor turned out to be exactly that, but his particular brand of mustachio'd menace would be equally suited to the arrogance and hubris of Sinestro. Bonus round - check out that receding hairline. Dash some purple make-up on him and boom.
