5. Venom
The Amazing Spider-Man was not ready to commit to Venom, most likely as a result of his failings in Spider-Man 3. However, he was name checked more than once during the film. The symbiote actually appeared in the early version of trailers but was replaced with Doc Ock, which hints hes on the creators minds. In the actual film, Harry Osborne comes across a file named Venom Storage which suggests the symbiote may have been created by scientists at Oscorp, while Felicia Hardy also makes mention of venom as well. Of course, when Spider-Man is joined to Venom in the comics, he goes to Reed Richards, which could allow them to bring the Fantastic Four into the mould. As well as that, when the symbiote takes over Mac Gargan (aka Scorpion) he goes on to become a member of the Sinister Twelve, alongside Vulture, so there is that route to go down later on. The symbiote also joins with Spider-Mans high school bully Flash Thompson at one point, becoming a black ops Venom owned by the government. Interestingly, in the Ultimate Spider-Man set of cartoons, Venom is created by Doctor Octopus when working at Oscorp, and is based around Peter Parkers genetic material. All of that would fit perfectly into this world thats been created, and could even allow for government work at Oscorp to lead to the creation of Thompsons black ops Venom. Of course, if Venom is around, then that gives us an entry into the series for our next villain
