4. Thor's Death (Thor: Ragnarok)

The announcement of a Ragnarok movie in 2017 is certainly exciting. It could actually have meant one of two things - Ragnarok being the war that ends with the destruction of the Norse Gods or Ragnarok being the name of the Thor clone made by Tony Stark after Thor had died. In this context, Kevin Feige has stated that it means "the end of all things", so it's probably the former, but either would be very cool. We think this movie will link in with Thor: Ragnarok thanks to Thor's death (yeah, we think Ultron's going to kill him). With Thor gone, Asgard is more vulnerable and this will probably be the catalyst for Surtur - the incredibly powerful fire demon from Muspelheim - to attack Asgard. This, in turn, will lead to Thor being brought back from the afterlife in Hel AKA Niffleheim - probably by Odin - in order to combat the mortal threat to his home realm (and conveniently enable him to return in future Avengers movies).
