10 Ways Avengers: Age Of Ultron Will Set Up Civil War
4. Cap's Continued Adjustment To The 21st Century
One of the most entertaining aspects of any Captain America movie, or really any movie featuring the character, is observing how he continues to adjust to the modern world after growing up in the mid-20th century. Age of Ultron will no doubt make a number of comical references to the fact that Cap is a relic from another generation trying to fit in, which in a round-about way only further emphasises why Cap will end up opposing the Superhero Registration Act in Civil War. Given that Cap grew up in a time where the Nazis were rounding up people and putting them on lists according to what they looked like, it's almost too easy for Civil War to draw a comparison between this and the desire to place superheroes on a list. If Age of Ultron continues to depict Steve's tug-of-war between being a product of his time and a modern superhero, then it's a very easy lead-in to a fundamental motivation behind Civil War's events.
