10 Ways Captain America: Civil War Could Be A Disaster

10. There's Not A Broad Enough Scope

One of the big appeals of the comic book event the film is based on was seeing literally every single Marvel hero face off against each other. The page was littered with characters and the battles felt suitably massive. Unfortunately, the MCU boasts nowhere near as many characters as the comics do and the conflict would seem to reflect that. The Avengers films truly felt like they had global ramifications and Civil War needs to match that scope if it wants its central battle to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, when the camera pulls back to show the heroes running at each other across the airport runway, it just doesn€™t feel big enough. Civil War doesn€™t need to throw the entire globe into peril to feel like it matters, but there needs to still be ramifications for the events that happen. If the conflict is as big as the characters are making it out to be, it stands to reason that there could be huge consequences. The film needs to be as epic and wide-reaching as it€™s being sold as or there€™s going to be a lot of disappointment.
